I started this western sojourn three years ago when I sold all my furniture and escaped the humid plains of the midwest for the clear blue skies of New Mexico. I haven’t looked back, and it’s been quite a journey. Since arriving in the wild west, I received my first Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies, completed two internships in art libraries, explored museums, galleries, forests, and mountains, read some John Muir and H.D. Thoreau, started a new career path as an art gallery registrar, and went back to school for a second Master’s in art history. What next? Your guess is as good as mine.

Please don’t despair about being “back in the fire.” A turbulent life is far more interesting than one which flows smoothly. And besides, none of life’s passages are forever. Bill
